Position Description:
Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely and effectively with the Board of Directors, committees and all key stakeholders to promote the mission and vision of The Arc Lancaster Lebanon.
  • Assist the Board of Directors in developing the strategic plan and in implementing and monitoring its directives.
  • Provide oversight and management of all agency finances, including budgeting, contracts, expenses and receivables, financial forecasting, employee compensation and benefits, capital relationships, fundraising and development. 
  • Provide leadership and direction in agency program development in accordance with organizational plans developed with the Board of Directors and agency staff. 
  • Lead human resources management in accordance with all applicable regulatory guidelines, including hiring, development of job descriptions, employee performance management, employee development and compensation. 
  • Maintain official records and all required documentation to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations, including coordination of the annual review and financial statements. 
  • Maintain and develop relationships and resources to stay informed of legislative issues affecting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. 
  • Represent The Arc Lancaster Lebanon at the State and Local levels, establishing sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups, educational institutions and organizations. 
  • Provide oversight of grant acquisition and execution.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years leadership or administrative experience in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities services delivery system.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the rules and regulations as applicable, under the auspices of Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). 
  • Experience in business management including strategic planning, supervisory experience, creating and managing complex business practices, such as developing, maintaining, and reporting on budgets and contracts.
  • Experience collaborating and communicating effectively with a variety of public and private agencies and individuals.
  • Experience and proficiency in public speaking before groups of various sizes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel. 
  • Experience with grant management preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of all applicable pre-screening requirements and clearances.

This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position with a salary commensurate with experience, and negotiable benefits. It requires periodic evenings and weekends, with local travel.

Organization Description:
The Arc Lancaster Lebanon is looking for their next Executive Director, due to the Retirement of current Executive Director. The Executive Director is a multifaceted role which acts on behalf of The Arc Lancaster Lebanon as the overall leader, primary public representative, accountability and compliance manager, and driver of all key performances. The Board of Directors is looking for a candidate that will take the well-respected agency to the next level, with the ability to utilize the talents and skills of a small but highly effective and professional team.
