Under state law, including Act 169 of 1996 as amended by Act 13 of 1997, and Department of Public Welfare regulations, prospective employees who will have direct contact with individuals with disabilities are subject to a state and/or federal criminal history background checks. Prospective employees must receive appropriate clearance in order to work for facilities covered under relevant laws and regulations.
