PAR Celebrates April as Autism Awareness Month

Over 200 people attended the 10:00 a.m. news conference and autism awareness resolution signing ceremony on April 18, 2007 at the Harrisburg Capitol Rotunda. Thank you to all of the PAR members who came to Harrisburg today with delegations from their organizations!

Children and adults living with autism; their caregivers - both family members and staff; members of the PAR Board of Directors and PAR staff joined national advocates and members of the Autism Caucus to hear Speaker of the House Dennis O’Brien introduce HB1150, a bill that would require fair treatment from health insurance companies to people living with autism and to sign HR 2, the Autism Awareness Month Resolution.

PAR helped plan the resolution signing ceremony.
