Welcome to PAR, Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disability!

PAR was incorporated in 1970 as a statewide, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. PAR’s mission is to build the capacity of the private sector to support Pennsylvanians with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and/or intellectual disability (ID) with the services they need to live as independently as possible.

Our member organizations provide over $1.7 Billion in autism and intellectual disability services and supports in Pennsylvania and employ over 32,000 Pennsylvanians.

PAR members provide the full range of supports and services to more than 49,000 individuals with intellectual disability, including over 8,000 children and adults living with autism, in over 7,800 locations in the Commonwealth in addition to providing numerous non-residential and in-home supports.

PAR represents home and community-based service providers, ranging from microboards and small family providers to large multi-state agencies, from every region of the Commonwealth, providing supports and services in all 48 county/county joinders.
